Whenever I go down to Captain Sams Inlet on Seabrook Island, SC, I usually take a look in the lagoon behind the spit to check out the birds while I'm waiting for the dolphins to show up. Not too busy yesterday but several birds were working the bait in the outgoing tide.

It's the time of year where we have breeding birds in rookeries on many of our ponds here. Sooooooo many nests with new generations of different phases of youngsters: chicks, branchlings, flledglings. Always amazing the watch the dense coexistence of so many avian species in just a couple of trees on a pond on Seabrook Island, SC. Youngsters of Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Wood Storks, Anhingas, Yellow Crowned Night Herons and Osprey all raising and feeding their pre-fledglings in these trees. WARNING: There is some brief Circle of Life violence in this footage, as an Alligator caught an egre...

Rolletown Sandbar is an Idyllic stretch of powder white sand surrounded by Windex blue water in the shallows just west of Man-O-War Cay and just north of Rolletown on Great Exuma. Amazingly beautiful and if you time it properly you can have it almost all to yourself.

The Exumas in the Bahamas are ringed by staggeringly beautiful beaches with almost no visitors. Of the 15 beaches we visited we basically had them all to ourself most of the time. Shoreline Beach is one of the northernmost beaches on Great Exuma. Shoreline Beach Club has honestly some of the best cracked conch we've had in the Bahamas and also excellent "Exuma Hot Wings". Exuma Point is actuall...

Thanks! Just another day on Seabrook Island!
lovely podcast❤
Glad you could enjoy 🤙
Awesome again Jeff, crystal clear view into the beginnings of life of our most vulnerable neighbors which we must protect.
Thanks Bro, you are correct, this is ALL around us, right in our back yards!!
Awesome video Jeff. Nature in 4k!
Thank you my brother, watch it on a big screen if you can!
Thank you that we get to see these beautiful birds from the eye and lens of a pro. This was excellent.
Thanks Judy, glad you you could appreciate the up close view
Nice - beauty 👍⛱️🏖️
Thanks so much! 🤙
Absolutely stunning 😍 Thanks for sharing cause it’s raining and miserable here.
Sorry to hear that, been beautiful for 10 days straight on Exuma. 🤙
hell yeah i wish this one would make its way back into the set one of my fave geeb tracks just something about it that resonates with me
not sure why thy don't play it more, it's basically a Bob and Doug jam anyway
Omg my name is Jonathan Jeffrey Davis…crazy that this person likes the exact music I do. Proof we’re in the matrix I guess
JJD's gotta represent bruh
This song has a double meaning for me. First meaning: a depressed person having a conversation with themselves. The internal battle of wanting to “snap out of it” and the other part of them finding so much solace in the melancholy. 2nd meaning - Trying to love a depressed person when you are depressed yourself. Wanting badly for them to hold on because you do everything in your power to hold on and even to hold on to them too. But they seem like they are not even trying or looking to get better.
Thanks for listening. That's the wonderful thing about music. Each piece can have an intensely personal meaning for each listener.
Nice vid, thanks. Question about the A1. At 5:10 when the Oystercatcher flies it loses focus. How long to usually reacquire focus? Thank you for any replies.
Thomas thanks for watching. Actually this footage was VERY early in my experimentation with video on A1, prior to really learning any of the proper settings for video. You have two controls for tracking focus, subject shift sensitivity (1 - 5) and tracking speed (1 - 7). I think this was probably set on 3 and 3 when I took this. On sensitivity 1 (locked on) and tracking speed 7 (fastest), I'm pretty sure it would have stayed focused. What you noticed is photographer error not camera issue. I'm not saying A1 is perfect, it will still lose subject occasionally but it's pretty damn good. On 1 (locked on) it will usually instantly grab the subject even if you have moved camera and subject has left and re-entered frame.
@@JeffreyJDavis Tgsnks for the reply. I was just curious. Like when a Green Heron makes its strike. Same thing most likely it would be hard for it to keep up for any system. Today’s AF systems are game changers as far as keeper rates go.
@@thomastuorto9929 I haha 30 fps raw bursts where eye iof green heron is track sharp through entire strike
@@JeffreyJDavis Now that is fast AF & what I'm looking for. Don't know I can swallow the $6500 price tag plus new lenses. I' mean I could pull it off but...! Can't see getting the A1 without the 600 f4 or at least the 400 f2.8.

your homies said they missed you , come back soon
Artiste découvert lors du Fringe Festival cet été à Edimbourg . Superbe à voir jouer et à entendre. Merci pour ce moment .
I was there on the 4th of August and saw him play absolutely a huge fan now pity i live so far away in Australia or id see him play more
Missed you by 24 hours but glad you got to see him 🤙
I knew Matthew in Vancouver when he played in a duo called Sons of Granville with Thomas Beckman playing viola and Matthew on guitar. They would always draw a big crowd busking in Downtown Vancouver all year. I stopped and would chat occasionally as couldn't believe their original music. I was sorry when Matthew decided to become a wandering busker globally but he followed his dreams and did so. Now I believe he lives in England. Nice to have had someone on Twitter find this for me as had wondered what had happened to him as he left Twitter some years past. If you happen to know how to contact him at all, do send him my good wishes from Vancouver and remind him how I took him out for a lunch before he left Vancouver - noodles it was as his choice. 😊
Love this Jeff! Thanks for posting!
thanks Raj he was really killin' it
I’m so mad I didn’t get to see them play nyc now

This guy is a racist. He pretends to want to help minorities but he is actually sabotaging them and helping white people (like BIllie Eilish, Lana del Ray and the Glass Animals guy) succeed in very devious ways. He writes articles that seem to support blacks if you don't read them too carefully. If you analyze them carefully, you'll see that he's actually insulting blacks, assuming they're not going to be intelligent enough to read between the lines. He's actually 56-year-old Andrew Sargent of West Chester University. Can't carry a tune in person to save his life. It's all auto-tune and other effects, too. Just got into this industry to push his agenda. If anyone sees through his act, he destroys them, too. He's trying to destroy my family now because I called him out
What are you talking about bro? For the record, Moses Sumney supported him on this tour , gaining a bunch of new fans and elevating his career. Not sure a racist would do that.
🎶😺👍🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏻😺🎶 You guys RULE !!!
The best age for sure to be living, musically. We've got Big Thief, Madison Cunningham, Margaret Glaspy, Andrew Bird and so many others + we still have all the old shit. YEAH!
yes I saw Big Thief and Guided By Voices within a month of each other
I just fell back in to a wonderful mood, nostalgic warm and real.
glad you could enjoy!
Even Bob's air guitar is cool. ;)
this song does NOT rock
Here’s something funny, for years I thought Avey was singing “my son goes out in his wagon”
It can be that if you want it to be, bro. I just want 4 walls and Adobe Flash for my girls.
@@JeffreyJDavis I think My Girls is a great song about having an indoor grow room.
